BPG Editor

BPG Editor joins video clips into one film, in the order they were actually shot. You pick the clips, trim them, mute or slow down the ones you want, and export a single file at 1920 x 1080, 60 frames per second. Everything happens on your iPhone. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Getting started

1 · Add videos

Tap Add videos and pick as many as 200 clips from Photos. Press and drag across the grid to select several quickly.

2 · Check the order

Clips line themselves up by the time they were recorded, earliest first within each day. Each row shows its position and where it starts in the finished film.

3 · Open a clip to change it

Trim the in and out points, mute it, slow it to half or quarter speed, or rotate it. Swipe a row to the left to delete it.

4 · Change several at once

Tap Select, then hold and drag down the list. Mute, slow down or delete the whole selection in one go.

5 · Export

Tap Export film, wait for the progress ring, then Save to Photos. The film lands in your camera roll.

Common questions

A clip is in the wrong place in the order

The order comes from the recording timestamp stored inside the video file, not from the order you picked them. A clip that has lost that timestamp, usually one that has been sent through a messaging app or exported from another editor, falls back to its file date and can land in the wrong spot. Delete it and re-add the original from Photos, or move the day around with the Oldest day and Newest day switch.

What does 30 FPS mean on a clip?

That clip was recorded at a lower frame rate than the 60 frames per second the film is exported at, so its frames are doubled to keep up. Motion through that clip can look slightly stepped. Nothing is broken, and the film still exports. iPhones drop the frame rate on their own in poor light, which is why it shows up on hall footage in the evening.

What does SIDEWAYS mean?

The clip stands on end, so in a 16:9 film it would sit between wide black bars. Open the clip and use the rotation arrows until the line next to them says it fills the frame. The AUTO-ROTATE switch in the toolbar does this for you as clips come in.

Slow motion turned the sound off by itself

Stretching a clip stretches its audio with it, and voices turn to sludge. The app mutes a clip when you slow it down. Turn the audio back on in the same panel if you want to hear it stretched.

It says some clips were already in the list

Two clips with the same recording moment, length, file size and pixel dimensions are the same video, even though Photos hands the app a fresh copy with a new name each time. Duplicates are left out and counted in the yellow bar. Tap Add anyway if you really want the same clip twice.

Clips disappeared between sessions

The app works on temporary copies of your videos, not on the originals, and iOS clears that temporary space when the phone runs short of room. Your originals in Photos are never touched. Load, edit and export in one sitting rather than leaving a long list in the app overnight.

Where did my finished film go?

Save to Photos puts it in your camera roll, in Recents. The first time you tap it, iOS asks for permission to add to Photos. If you declined, turn it on again in Settings, Apps, BPG Editor.

What it needs
Privacy policy

BPG Editor collects nothing

There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third party services in the app. It does not have network access at all, so nothing you put into it can leave your device.

The videos you pick. They are copied into the app's own temporary folder so it can read their recording time, show preview frames and join them into one film. Those copies live until you delete the clip, clear the app, or iOS reclaims the space.

Your camera roll. Touched only to write the finished film back when you tap Save to Photos. iOS asks your permission the first time.

Your originals. The app never changes, moves or deletes anything in your Photos library. Trimming and rotation are stored as instructions for the export, so your source videos stay exactly as they were.

Children. The app is rated 4+ and collects nothing from anyone, regardless of age.

What is not here.

  • No analytics, crash reporting or tracking of any kind
  • No advertising, and no advertising identifiers
  • No third party software development kits
  • No network access, so nothing can leave the device

If Apple sends me a crash report through App Store Connect, it comes from Apple and contains no personal information. You choose whether to share those in your own iOS settings.

Originalene i Bilder røres aldri. Den ferdige filmen lagres i kamerarullen når du selv trykker på det.
